Meet Janardhan

Dr N. Janardhan is an Indian political analyst based in the United Arab Emirates since 2000. With expertise on Gulf foreign policies and diplomatic practices, his fifth book is titled 'Global Gulf' (Gerlach, 2026), which focuses on middle powers, multialignment and minilateralism. He is also a non-resident fellow at the Arab Gulf States Institute, Washington.

Meet Laura

Dr. Laura Mahrenbach is an Adjunct Professor at the Technical University of Munich's School of Social Sciences and Technology, a Senior Advisor at DC-based consulting firm Cascade Advisory, and a non-resident Fellow at the Quincy Institute. She holds a PhD in International Political Economy from the Ruhr University of Bochum as well as Google's Data Analytics Professional Certificate.

Global (power) politics and technology especially AI and big data; Emerging markets, especially Brazil, India, China, and the BRICS; Global governance in all forms; International political economy; US foreign and domestic policy.

Meet Gedaliah

Dr. Gedaliah Afterman is a foreign-policy strategist and former diplomat specialising in cross-regional cooperation, superpower competition, and the role of middle and tech-enabled powers. His work focuses on translating geopolitical change into practical frameworks for cooperation across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

He brings extensive experience working with governments, think tanks, the private sector, and international partners on China policy, Indo-Pacific and Middle East dynamics, and emerging minilateral formats. His background includes strategic policy roles in the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, service at the Australian Embassy in Beijing, and senior positions in think tanks and academia. He holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne and is actively engaged in shaping cross-regional academic and policy dialogue.

Denise Feldner is a lawyer specializing in infrastructure, new technologies and corporate development. She has been working internationally and interdisciplinary for many years and has worked in the sectors of legal advice, science and research management, but also for financial investors. Meet Hosni 

Dr Hosni Ghedira is a strategic innovation leader and R&D executive with over 20 years of experience driving large-scale technology and sustainability initiatives across the MENA region. He has led award-winning research centers and built landmark partnerships at the intersection of AI, space technology, clean energy, climate resilience, water security, and public policy. He has served as a founding director, research strategist, and advisor to institutions like IRENA, World Bank, and the UN. Dr. Ghedira is also a board member of regional and international science and energy bodies, recognized for his ability to bridge academia, policy, and industry for sustainable innovation. In parallel with his academic and institutional roles, he selectively advises governments, multilaterals, and mission-driven ventures on foresight, AI-driven initiatives, energy transition, and innovation ecosystems.

Meet Shlomo

Prof. Shlomo Hasson is Professor Emeritus at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he continues to teach and conduct research. For over five decades, he served in the Department of Geography, the Institute of Urban and Regional Studies, and the School of Public Policy. He holds the Leon Safdie Chair in Urban and Regional Planning and served as Head of the James Shasha Center for Strategic Studies at the Hebrew University for 12 years.

In addition to his academic leadership, Professor Hasson took part in preparing several of Israel’s most significant national planning efforts, including the National Outline Plan for Israel 35, and the Israel 2048 plan.
